Mark Teer Obituary

Mark Edward Teer, 62, of Graham passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Friday, August 21, 2020.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Barbara Teer and son of Billy and Ann Teer. Mark retired from General Electric and was a member of the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include his daughter, Amanda Leann Teer Nelson and her husband Matt of Greensboro; son, Matthew David Teer of Graham; parents, Billy and Ann Teer of Graham; sisters, Cathy Evans and her husband Mike of Raleigh and Susan Lambert of Burlington; mother-in-law, Alma Lee Parrish and father-in-law, James Alvis Parrish of Snow Camp; sister-in-laws, Deborah Kiser and her husband Sam of Snow Camp and Sandra Blanchard and her husband William of Mebane; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory in Graham. At other times, they will be at the residence.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Don Pegg.

Even as years have passed, there are still great memories that we shared with you and will never be forgotten. Your wife Barbara is also a special person in which we still visit when we travel to North Carolina. May God bless her to continue to dealing with her tragic loss.

I normally can not say anything with these situations, however; I am truly going to miss you. You became a part of my family back in the late 70's and early 80's due to my issues I faced at the time. You and your wife Barbara also kept up with me and my wife and extended your gracious home to me and my family after I left the area and moved to Florida. Even though we were not blood relatives, I consider you and your wife part of my immediate family and I was blessed in having a great relationship with you and your immediate family. Please rest in peace my friend.

Since I could remember when I was a kid I always looked forward to going to visit Mark and Barbara. There was never a day when I visited I didn’t have a great time. He was a loving and caring man and always brought a smile to everybody’s faces. He will be missed by many. My condolences❤
