William Egbert Smith Obituary

BURLINGTON - William "Ace" Egbert Smith, 51, of 1867 Haw River Hopedale Road, passed away at his residence at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Wanda Gail Rogers Smith and the son of the late Winford N. Smith and the late Eula Lineberry Smith.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include three sisters, Carolyn Smith and her husband Dennis of Haw River, Elaine Williams of Reidsville, and Cindy Smith of Pittsboro; one half-sister, Linda Shumate of Virginia; one brother, Raymond Smith and his wife Patsy of Burlington; one daughter, Jamie Smith of Winston-Salem; one son, Randy Rogers; and one granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held at Linwood Cemetery in Graham on Monday, April 18, 2011, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Bennie Smith.
There will not be a public viewing held, however the family will receive friends at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials may be made to Wanda Gail Smith, 1867 Haw River Hopedale Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Graham is in charge of arrangements.
