Mrs. Betty Jean Turpin,
age 84, of Eastanollee,
passed away Saturday,
Nov. 8, 2025, at her resi-
dence.
A daughter of the late
Griff and Jessie Taylor
Verner, she was born Jan.
11, 1941, in Franklin Coun-
ty, Georgia, living most of
her life in Eastanollee.
She was a longtime mem-
ber of Eastanollee Baptist
Church, where she served
as the treasurer of her
Sunday school class for
many years and delivered
meals to those who were
homebound. She was em-
ployed with Wright Manu-
facturing for a number of
years before retiring from
Coats and Clark. She was a
loving and caring person
with a heart of gold whose
kindness touched every-
one she met. She loved
quilting, going to the
mountains, and fall leaves.
She loved flower garden-
ing, and she could make
anything grow. Betty was
a wonderful cook and you
did not walk into her
house without having
something to drink or eat.
She spent countless hours
watching her birds and
never turned down a bowl
of ice cream. She was a de-
voted wife, mother and
Mema. She had a huge
heart and made time for
others. She always made
sure everyone knew they
were loved. Her warmth,
kindness and uncondition-
al love for her family will
be deeply missed and re-
membered by all who
knew her. She was preced-
ed in death by sisters and
