Daniel Harvey Dean

Daniel Harvey Dean,
age 65, of Toccoa, Ga., en-
tered his heavenly home
on Thanksgiving Day,
Nov. 27, 2025. Dan was
born in Johnson City,
N.Y., on July 8, 1960, to
Robert and Joyce Dean. He
resided in Chenango
Forks, N.Y. in his younger
years and graduated from
Chenango Forks High
School in 1978. He moved
to Greene, N.Y., in the 80's.
For many years he worked
alongside his father and
brothers in the family con-
struction business. He also
worked in the U.S. Navy
Seabees Reserves, (Naval
Construction Force) for 10
years. While in the
Seabees Reserves he also
worked at Sing Sing Cor-
rectional Facility and
Elmira Correctional Facil-
ity as a corrections officer.
He moved to Toccoa, Ga.,
in the early 2000's. While
in Toccoa he was a mem-
ber of The Pointe Church
in Eastanollee, Ga. and he
worked at Haering Preci-
sion Auto in Lavonia, Ga.
He is survived by his
loving wife of 15 years,
Manda Dean; his daugh-
ters, Virginia (Ginny)
Dean, of Athens, Ga. and
Kelly (Paul) Goldsbor-
ough, of Winder, Ga.; his
step-son, Sidney Heaton, of
Toccoa, Ga.; his grandchil-
dren, Brayden, of Winder,
Ga. and Gabby, of Califor-
nia; his brothers, Lon (Su-
san) Dean, of New Wind-
sor, Md., Terry (Lana)
Dean, of Whitney Point,
N.Y., and Gary (Marsha)
Dean, of Whitney Point,
N.Y.; his step-mom Brooke
Dean, of Binghamton,
N.Y., and numerous
nieces, nephews, cousins,
extended family, and
friends. He was preceded
in death by his father and
mother, Robert and Joyce
Dean, an older sister, Con-
nie Dean, and his son
Michael Dean. What a
beautiful reunion it must
have been.
A memorial service will
be held at The Pointe
Church, 111 Fieldcrest
Drive, Eastanollee, Geor-
gia 30538, on Dec. 19, 2025,
at 4 p.m. The service will
be live streamed. A meal
will be provided afterward
at Rock Quarry Church,
2357 Rock Quarry Circle,
Toccoa, Georgia 30577.
