Ellen Khoury Obituary

Mrs. Ellen Marie
Rosynek Khoury, passed
peacefully from this life on
Nov. 10, 2025, surrounded
by family.
Ellen was born in
Chicago but lived in At-
lanta from the age of 10.
Her earliest recognition
was being the third of
three sisters born on St.
Patrick's Day over a five-
year period, an event that
was celebrated in the
Chicago Tribune and by
all her family throughout
her life.
In addition to being a
loving and supportive sis-
ter, Ellen established her-
self as an accomplished
businesswoman. She en-
joyed a distinguished ca-
reer at Olympus, where
she managed camera sales
across the southeast re-
gion, earning numerous
accolades and recognition
for her achievements.
During that time, she also
began designing high-end
women's jewelry, rework-
ing old pieces and creating
intricate and lovely new
pieces which are much
coveted by her clientele.
After retiring from Olym-
pus, while continuing her
jewelry design business,
she opened a sizeable and
popular Pilates Studio in
Midtown Atlanta. Fitness
was a lifelong passion of
Ellen's and kept her ever
fit and active.
The most treasured and
significant moment of El-
len's life was meeting her
sweetheart, Robert
Khoury, at his camera
business. She spoke often
of the magic of their meet-
ing and the instant con-
nection she felt to Bob.
Married before a Justice of
the Peace, Bob began his
lifelong commitment to
Ellen by ponying up the
extra $5 for a prayer, a sto-
ry Elen laughingly and af-
fectionately recounted
many times. Ellen and Bob
were devoted to each other
during 41 memorable
years of marriage.
Ellen is preceded in
death by her parents,
Frank and Elsie Rosynek.
She is survived by her
husband, Bob; five sisters,
Sandy (Rick), Karen (Jer-
ry), Pam (Leonard), Mimi
(Dan), and Kathy. She was
a beloved aunt to 11 nieces
and nephews who all had a
special bond with her. Ele-
gant, well-spoken, and
poised, Ellen made many
friends and attracted
much praise throughout
her life for her accom-
plishments and her kind-
ness. She will be profound-
ly missed by all.
A celebration of Ellen's
life will be held at 2 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, from
the Chapel of Whitlock
Mortuary with the Rev.
Dennis Wilkes officiating.
The family will receive
friends at the mortuary
from 12 p.m. until the ser-
vice hour on Friday.
Flowers are optional.
Those desiring may make
memorial donations to the
Shepherd Center Founda-
tion. (https://founda-
tion.shepherd.org)
Please keep the family

Bob, my heart and thoughts are with you (my body is in Minneapolis). Ellen was such a delight in so many ways and she left her mark on so many. She also made Lynne´s Mother laugh more than any person ever during one dinner party. I am so sorry for this terrible tragedy and your loss.
