Janice Sibley

Mrs. Janice Sons Sib-
ley, age 78, of Toccoa,
passed away Sunday, Dec.
4, 2022 at Northeast Geor-
gia Medical Center.
Born July 17, 1944 in
New Orleans, La., she was
the daughter of the late
Leslie and Miriam Forsyth
Sons.
She was a member of St.
Mary Catholic Church and
was a homemaker. Janice
was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, and great-
grandmother.
Family members in-
clude her husband, Joe
Sibley, Jr.; sons and a
daughter-in-law, Buck Si-
monson of St. Louis, Mo.
and Brett and Chanda Si-
monson of Toccoa; grand-
children, Matt and Olivia
Simonson, Bryan Simon-
son, and Jesse Simonson;
great-grandchildren,
Alexander Simonson, Ash-
ton Simonson, Artie Si-
monson, and Jasper Si-
monson; sister and broth-
er-in-law, Joan and Vin-
cent Ferrara.
She was preceded in
death by her first hus-
band, Arthur Simonson,
Jr.; and by her sister, Faye
Lovas.
The family received
friends at St. Mary
Catholic Church from 1-
2:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9,
2022.
Funeral Mass was held
at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9,
2022 at St. Mary Catholic
Church. Entombment fol-
lowed at Stephens Memo-
rial Gardens.
