Marjorie Murdock Obituary
Anderson Murdock, age
94, of Toccoa, passed away
peacefully Monday, Sept.
15, 2025.
One of 11 children, Mar-
jorie was born Feb. 1, 1931,
in Rabun County, Georgia,
to the late Fred and Della
Justice. She retired from
Sangamo Electric with 30
years of dedicated service.
She was an active garden-
er with an exceptional
green thumb. She was hap-
piest when caring for oth-
ers and put family before
herself until her last day.
She was the most loving
and sacrificial mother one
could be. She adored her
family and always worked
very hard to support and
care for them as well as
her large circle of friends.
She touched the lives of all
who met her.
In addition to her par-
ents, Fred and Della Jus-
tice, she was preceded in
death by her son, Geary
Anderson.
She is survived by her
children, Bobby (Rhonda)
Anderson, Cheri (Mike)
Griffin, Mona (Rod) Rum-
sey, Rocky Murdock, Mitzi
(Brian) Cikra; grandchil-
dren, Dustin Griffin, Dena
Griffin, Kala Griffin, Caley
(Jessica) Anderson, Casey
(Tiffany) Murdock, Dylan
Murdock, Shelby (Daniel)
Massey and Haley Smith;
great-grandchildren, Abel
Griffin, Stella Massey, and
Stetson Massey.
Funeral services will be
Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, 1
p.m. in the Hillcrest
Chapel of the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home with the
Rev. Jerrell Beatty offici-
ating. The following gen-
tlemen will serve as pall-
bearers; Tim Wilmot,
Tracey McCroskey, Ethan
Burns, Connor Burns, Dy-
lan Murdock and Daniel
Massey.
The family will receive
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Thurs-
day from 11 a.m. until the
service time at 1 p.m. On-
line condolences may be
left for the family at
www.acree-davisfh.com.
Flowers are optional.
Donations should be made
to Memorials Processing,
St. Jude’s Children's Re-
search Hospital, 501 S.
Jude Place, Memphis, Ten-
nessee 38105, in memory of
Mrs. Marjorie Justice An-
derson Murdock.
Interment will follow in
the Toccoa City Cemetery
with the Acree-Davis Fu-
neral Home and Cremato-
ry in charge of the ar-
rangements for Mrs. Mar-
jorie Justice Anderson
Murdock.
