Mr. Tony Quinnion
Mooney, age 26, of
Lunsford Street, Mt. Airy,
passed away Saturday,
Feb. 24, 2024.
A son of Raymond
"Buddy" Mooney and Cyn-
thia Griffin Mooney, he
was born Oct. 8, 1997 in
Stephens County, Georgia,
having lived in Stephens
and Habersham Counties
most of his life. He was a
former employee with Mc-
Cannan Granite. He loved
his parents and children
and enjoyed playing the
guitar. He was preceded in
death by his grandfathers,
Raymond Mooney and
Quinnion Griffin.
Survivors include his
father and mother, Ray-
mond "Buddy" Mooney
and Cynthia Griffin
Mooney of Toccoa; his
children of the home, Bre-
lynn King, Rylee Mooney
and Quinnion Mooney;
brother, Shawn Mooney of
Toccoa; his significant
other, Mariah Smith of the
home; grandparents, Lin-
da Mooney, Mary Owenby
and Teresa Johnson all of
Toccoa; a number of aunts,
uncles, nephews and
nieces.
Funeral services were
held Monday, March 4,
2024, at 3 p.m. in the Hill-
crest Chapel of the Acree-
Davis Funeral Home with
the Rev. Travis Pitts and
the Rev. Tim Griffin offici-
ating. The following gen-
tlemen served as pallbear-
ers: Jay Bohannon, Jerry
Griffin, Steven Savage,
Doug Savage, Justin
Owenby and Matt McCal-
lister.
The family received
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Sunday,
March 3, 2024, from 5-7
