Gwen Bell, age 76, passed away April 28, 2025 at her home. Gwen was born December 30, 1948 in Bluefield, WV to the late Chester and Alice McCoy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Weldon Bell and brother, Dennis McCoy.

Gwen was known for her heart of gold and generosity towards others. She spent many years assisting residents of Johnson County with the Heating Fund. She was also known for carrying two dollar bills. She was loved dearly by her family, many friends, and her special dogs, Cookie and Phoebe. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Angel Bozard (Robert); sons, Quentin Jacobs (Kim), Shannon Jacobs; sister, Anita Altman; brothers, Terry McCoy, Bill McCoy; grandchildren, Sarah, Cassandra, Paul (Robin), Brianna, Abby, Elisa, Andrew, Ryan, Brittany, Bella; sister-in-law, Joyce Bell; special friends, Jeannie and Jeani; special neighbors, Martin and Marsha; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
