November 2, 1931 - October 24, 2016
Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Nell Dye will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Rush Funeral Home, Glenmora with Reverend Chris Paul officiating. Interment will follow in Richey Cemetery, Effie, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Dye, 84, of Forest Hill, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 24, 2016 in Alexandria, LA.
Bobbie was a longtime employee of Herby K's restaurant. Bobbie retired to her beloved Cocodrie Lake where she operated Buck's Landing for thirty years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dye; her sister, Geraldine Briggs and one brother, Wilbert LaPrairie.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her daughter, Lynda McLain Johnson, of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Richard Johnson, of Alexandria and Winda Johnson, of Manhattan Beach, CA.; one great grandchild, Taylor Lesser and Bobbie's friend and longtime companion, Bill Laird, of Forest Hill.
Friends may call Rush Funeral Home, Glenmora on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers honored to serve are: Butch Gruben, Dale Carter, Ronnie Carter, Jammie Babb, Greg Gaugler and Mac Carrera, Jr.
