Clyde Clark Obituary
October 4, 1921 - July 13, 2016
Funeral services for Mr. Clyde C. Clark will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Oakdale, with Reverends Drew Fontenot and Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhill Cemetery, Oakdale, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Clark, 94, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was a WWII Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart and Silver Star. He was also a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Oakdale.
He is preceded in death by fifteen brothers and sisters.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty nine years, Beatrice Perkins Clark, of Oakdale; two sons, Roger Dale Clark, Sr. and companion, Jean Ballard, of Turkey Creek and Ronnie Clark and wife, Tricia, of Oakdale; one daughter, Neecie Plumlee and husband, Damin, of Oakdale; three brothers, Carl Clark, of Baker, Clayton Clark, of Zachary and Charles Clark, of Hessmer; five sisters, Versie Deshotel, of Eunice, Juanita Clark, of West Virginia, Ernestine Satcher, of LeCompte, Yvonne Clark, of Turkey Creek and Noonie Lilly, of Zachary; ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve are: Roger Dale Clark, Jr., Christopher Clark, Jeb Moore, Charles Cotten, Justin James and Austin James.
Friends may call Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen at Emmanuel Baptist Church, of Oakdale, on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
