Dalton Fuqua Obituary
Pineville - Services for Dalton Fuqua will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend Clay Fuqua Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Deville under the directions of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday at Bethel United Methodist Church, Deville from 9 AM to 11 AM and services will follow.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Joshua New, Clay Fuqua Jr., Ronald Fuqua, Darrell Fuqua, Chris Fuqua, Tony Fuqua, Curt Fuqua, Brian Bradley and Jerry Bradley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Fuqua, Shirley Ann New, Irving "Jun" Protacio, Jordan B. Fuqua.
Mr. Fuqua, 95, of Pineville passed from this life, Saturday, March 13, 2021 at his son's residence surrounded by his loving family.
Dalton was a lifetime member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He loved his family and dedicated his life to caring for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He worked hard for the Rock Island Railroad and retired after 36 years. He enjoyed growing his own garden and spending time outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing but his passion was spending his day in the duck blind with his family. His faith in Jesus was important to him and he was faithful in his attendance at Bethel United Methodist Church. In his later years He loved watching Calvary Baptist Church and Evangelist Billy Graham on TV with his son.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Inez O'Neil Fuqua, His parents, Theodria Preston Fuqua and Callie Woodson Fuqua; Brothers, Ira Fuqua, Arnie Fuqua, Elvis Fuqua, Leo Fuqua, and Clay Fuqua Sr.
Those left to cherish his memory include son, Lloyd Dalton Fuqua: daughter, Shirley Ann New and husband, Irving "Jun" Protacio: Grandchildren, Joshua Joseph New, Jordan Brooke Fuqua; numerous other family members and friends.
