Dorothy DeSelle Price

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Dorothy DeSelle Price at 1 p.m. Thursday January 3, 2013 in St. Rita Catholic Church with Father Craig Scott officiating. Entombment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, under the direction of John Kramer & Son.

Keeping with Dorothy's wishes there will no visitation or rosary recited. Friends and Family are asked to arrive at the church for 12:45 p.m., Thursday, Jan 3, 2013 for Reception of the Body.

Dorothy DeSelle Price, age 91, of Alexandria, passed away Tuesday January 1, 2013 in Lexington House.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Leon E. and Eola DeWailly DeSelle, and her husband Robert Earl Price, four brothers; Lloyd, Earl,Leon, Raymond DeSelle, and granddaughter, Kim Mercado

She was a bookkeeper for the family owned business, L.E. DeSelle Construction Company. Dorothy was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Christine P. Price of Boyce; three grandchildren and five great grand children.

In lieu of flowers Dorothy requested memorials be made to American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or St. Rita Catholic Church Capital Campaign at 3822 Bayou Rapides Rd Alexandria, LA 71303.

Chris, I am so sorry to hear about your mother passing. She was a good lady. I always enjoyed her coming in the studio(Merle Norman Cosmetics) thru the many years. Time will heal the hurt. I just saw this online. I know she will be greatly missed.
