Florence Wells Obituary
Services celebrating the life of Florence Jenkins Wells will be held at 2:00p.m.Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Rev. Dennis Snoddy, officiating. Interment will follow in the Clearwater Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers.
The family asks that visitation be observed, Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
Florence, 89, a native and resident of Clearwater, was born on August 28, 1923 to Ethan and Dollie Jenkins, and passed from this life on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Matthews Memorial Nursing Home of Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Wells; father and mother; brothers, Leroy Jenkins, Allen Jenkins, Carl (K.C.) Jenkins, and Marvin Jenkins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sisters: Betty Pratt, of Clearwater, and Frances Carter and husband Harold of Texarkana, Arkansas; brother, Archie Jenkins and wife Eve, of Houma and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who loved her very much.
Pallbearers will be Randal Pratt, Carl Roy Jenkins, Johnny Kirkland, Lynn Jenkins, David Jenkins, Mike Jenkins II, Willie Jenkins and John Maxie Chevalier.
The family wishes to thank Sandi Cook, Nell Rayburn, and John Maxie Chevalier for their devoted and exceptional care given during her illness. And special thanks to her nephew, Michael Jenkins for looking after her needs for many years.

Aunt Flo was a joy to know. Her famous coffee has provided great memories for almost 50 years. Barbara and I are thinking of Michael Jenkins and his family. With Thanksgiving this week, we will be thankful for the life of Aunt Flo and saddened for her loss.

We were so sad to learn of Ms. Flo's passing. She and Mother (Elsie Bergeron) were best friends at Meeker. She practically raised me, too. I can see her and Mother and Vi Kramer sitting around the kitchen table with their coffee. She was just the sweetest lady I've ever know. My sympathy and prayers are with you all.
