Frank (Jack) Delrie

Alexandria - A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Frank (Jack) Delrie will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Alexandria with Father Chad Partain officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria Friday, November 16, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Damen Rachal, Sonny Landsiedel, Randy Delrie, John Williamson, Randy McBride, Roman Ray, Mark Taylor Queen and Rickey Cruz.

Honorary pallbearer will be Robbie Delrie.

Mr. Delrie, 96, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Delrie was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army 9th Division, 2nd Battalion, 39th Regiment, Company E. He received the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster and Good Conduct Medal during his service. After the military, he returned to farming and then went to work for and retired from Offshore Drilling. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting, dancing and laughing but most of all, his family. His storytelling, along with a great sense of humor, kept everyone entertained.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Rachal Delrie and parents, Willis and Geneva Troquille Delrie.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Frank R. Delrie and Sherman T. Delrie; daughters, Judith Delrie Domres and Linda Delrie Pree; brother, Peyton Delrie; sisters, Natalie Mendel and Una Vee Swope; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild and a host of other family members and friends.
