Horace Hood Obituary
Services for Horace Graydon Hood, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Reverend Don Denny, officiating, assisted by Greg Gurunlian. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2012, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Hood, 85, of Ball, passed away Wednesday, May23, 2012, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a devout Christian.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Hammack Hood; son, Kenneth Hood; daughter, Marian Price; parents, Horace Graydon & Flossie Faye Sanderlin Hood, Sr.; granddaughter, Cheryl Hood; brother, J. B. Hood.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Derry Hood & wife Carole, Bobby Hood & wife Sue, Jimmie Hood & wife Faye; sister, Linda Neal & husband John; grandchildren, Chadley Price & wife Rande, Wesley Hood, Jeff Hood, Jamie Goleman; great grandchildren, Gradyn Price, Graham Price.
