Services for James Shelly Vercher, 74 of Alexandria, Louisiana will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Alexandria, Louisiana with Pastor John Russell, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Boyce Community Funeral Home. Mr. Vercher passed away on July 24, 2017 at the Naomi Heights Nursing Home. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

So many special memories of mr.James from working with him at JCPenney. He worked so hard but he never complained, was always there when anyone needed help. We froze in that stockroom in the winter and burned up in the summer BUT we always had a great time together. Mr. James was the HEART of that stockroom. My prayers are with each and every member of his family.
