Lammie Normand Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Lammie Cecile Normand will be held at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville with Father Rusty Rabalais officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum #2 in Marksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Normand, age 89, of Marksville passed away at Oak Mont Assisted Living Facility in Mansura on Thursday, July 28, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband Milburn Normand.
She is survived by one son, Chris J. Normand & wife Christine of Marksville, one daughter, Marla Brownhill of Victoria, British Columbia, one brother Ewall Bordelon of Alexandria, one sister, Doris Bordelon of Moreauville, three granddaughters, Amy Brownhill, Catie Brownhill, & Randi Normand, one grandson, Lane Normand, and one great grandchild, Marija-Terry-Brownhill. Vistitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville. A rosary will be held in the chapel at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you donate to a charity of your choice in remembrance of Mrs. Lammie Normand.

Chris and Marla:
You all were an integral part of the Platin for many years. Your Mama epotimized what simple love and caring could accomplish in a changing world. I can still hear her greeting to me everytime she saw me..."Au Doody".
We shall all miss her homespun ways of keeping life in perspective. She is home now.

Mr. Chis, Ms. Marla and Family, we are so sorry for the loss of your precious Mother. Mrs. Lammie was so special to us, and was such an example of kindness. We will miss her, but rest assured that she is basking in all of the Glory of Heaven.
