It has been a great honor for me to become acquainted with the Cole family, and for this I can thank Marvin and the Alexandria Aces. I vividly remember Mr. Cole playing the piano at Jim Smilie's father's funeral ... it was a ragtime spiritual from another era, yet somehow completely appropriate. Diamond Cole has carried on with the family's music tradition, and he has generously helped out more than one civic group that I am affiliated with.
To Mrs. Cole and the entire family, I know that someday you will look back at Mr. Cole's years with us and take solace in knowing he had a long and productive life that brought brightness and joy to those who knew him.
God Bless.
