Marian Jane Duplissey Nordrum

Memorial services for Marian Jane Duplissey Nordrum will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 in the Chapel of White Oaks Funeral Home of Alexandria with the Rev. Dillard Fontenot officiating.

Marian, 76, of Lecompte, entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 12, 2012 in the Grace Home of Alexandria. She was born on August 4, 1935 in Clearwater to Samuel David Duplissey and Sarah Henry Duplissey. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Her husband of 59 years, Howard Elwood Nordrum; parents, Samuel and Sarah Duplissey; three brothers, and four sisters precedes her in death.

She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, one daughter, Tammy Swope (Larry) of Shoreview, Minnesota; one son, Samuel H. Nordrum (Pam) of Lecompte; three grandsons, Ryan Swope (Evelynda), Jason Swope (Cathy), and Zachary Swope (Gretchen); two great-grandsons, Delvin Swope and Colin Swope; one great-granddaughter, Tatum Swope; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends may call from 12 noon till time of service Saturday in the funeral home.

I'm so sorry to hear that Jane has passed. She was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed seeing her. I'm sure Howard will be happy that he has his sole mate back.
