Marie Laura Robin Hollier

Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Marie Laura Robin Hollier at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016, at St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery. Father Ken Domingue will celebrate the Mass.

Laura was a resident of Leonville. She passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center, at the age of 78.

Her great joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Daily she wrote cards to family and friends for special occasions or to any one who she thought needed a kind word. She had a great devotion to the blessing mother and prayed the rosary many times daily. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, James Hollier, Jr., and his wife, Janet of Shreveport, LA., Michael Hollier and his wife, Nancy of Arlington, TX., Patrick Hollier and his wife, Erin of Natchitoches, Pamela Hollier Fowler Felch and her husband, Curtis of Pleasant Ridge, Michigan, Susan Hollier Fowler and her husband, Don of Woodworth, LA., and Robin Hollier Smith of Alexandria, brother, Angelas Robin and his wife, Gaynell Markey of Metairie, LA., fifteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren and also numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Angelas Robin and David and Marie Esther Lanclos Robin Boudreaux, two brothers, Harry Robin and his wife, Muriel and Daniel Robin and his wife, Evelyn, and one son in law, Marcus Fowler.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will reopen Friday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made Academy of Sacred Heart School in Grand Coteau or St. Mary Training School in Alexandria.

Words of Comfort to the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
