Oscar M. Davis, Sr. "Big O"

Services for Oscar M. Davis, Sr. will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Mt. Herman Baptist Church. Rev. Frank "Doug" Randle will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.

Mr. Davis, 62, of Boyce, passed away on tuesday, July 19, 2016 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Mamie and Ben Davis, and his grandparents.

Oscar is survived by his sons: Mikeous Goins, Sr., Oscar M. Davis, Jr., Christopher J. Davis, Sr. Lpshun Slaughter, and Nolan Slaughter, brothers: Ezra C. Bobb and Ben Davis, sister: Carolyn Davis Aaron, and five grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9a.m. at the church.

I went to high school with Oscar at Boyce High. Once in P.E., he was running for a touchdown and someone tried to stop him. He knocked them over like a bowling pin and just kept on running. :)
