Ruby Stephens Obituary
Visitation will be Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Stephens, 78, of Gardner, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010, at Lexington House, Alexandria.
She was a charter member of Cotile Baptist Church, Boyce, and a bookkeeper for P. A. Shadow Tractor Company during her working years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton I. Stephens; parents, Richard and Agnes Mabou Sasser; brothers, Morris, James, Herman, Jewell, Frank, Arnie and Ralph Sasser; sister, Ruth Sasser Smith, and step-daughter, Nadine Galle.
Those left to cherish her memory include her step-daughter, Anita Aucoin and husband Kenneth; step-son, Glen Stephens and wife Cherry; brother, Clyde Sasser and wife Mary Jane; grandchildren, Angela Rambo, Steven Allen, Jeff Stephens, Jessica Blackwell; great grandson, Randy Rambo, and a host of other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to Cotile Baptist Church, 8735 Hwy 1200, Boyce, LA 71409

Mrs Ruby was one of my favorite patients..She always had the sweetes smile. She often made me laugh.. I know she will be missed by family and friends. My heartfelt condolences to the family and Step children she called her own..

Mrs. Ruby was the sweetest but most dedicated lady to our church Cotile , her and Mr Milton meant more than words can ever say. the last time i went me and her had a round with her getting in the wheel chair , but she still knew Amazing Grace. You kids were the best step children any woman could ask for and she was proud of all of you .
