Samuel Cole Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial for Samuel R. Cole, Jr. will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral with Rev. Jim Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, under the direction of John Kramer & Son.
Samuel R. Cole, Jr., 89, of Alexandria, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Regency House.
Samuel is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Rita Blalock Cole; his father, Samuel R. Cole, Sr.; and his mother, Agnes McGee Cole.
Mr. Cole was born in Alexandria. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army in Africa and Italy. He worked as a Postal Clerk until his retirement.
He is lovingly survived by his daughters; Theresa G. Cole of Alexandria, Adrienne C. Phillips and her husband Nicholas of Iuka, MS, Ramona C. Hodges and her husband Kenneth of Russellville, AR; and grandchildren, Cason Phillips, William T. Hodges, Rita Grace Cole, and Kristen Noelle Hodges.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012 and from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at John Kramer & Son. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
