Willie Anderson Obituary
Ms. Willie Jean Anderson, age 65, of Alexandria died on December 18, 2010.
Jean was a loving woman who dedicated her life to her family and church. In her past time, she enjoyed sporting activities, writing songs, writing plays and traveling. She was actively involved in serving and administering to the needs of people in her community as well as supporting many organizations and charities.
She was preceded in death by Willie Vinson (Father), Leona Vinson (Mother), and James Vinson (Brother).
Survivors include a son Tyron Anderson of Somerset, New Jersey; daughter, Umekki Curry (Lance) of Washington, DC; brothers, Edward Vinson (Michelle) of Baton Rouge and Irvin Vinson of Mobile, Alabama; sisters, Gloria Vinson of Alexandria and Barbara Vinson of Pensacola, Florida.
Viewing will be held from 8 - 11 A.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if you would donate a minimum of $5 to Turning Point Women's Shelter in memory of "W. Jean Anderson". The address is P.O. Thank God for Jean. She had a positive impact on all who came in her path. She was a friend, sister-n-law, aunt to my children and grand children, and above all, a Child of God.She demonstrated this daily and was the same person every day whether it was 30 years ago or now. I was honored to have been able to come home and pay my respect to Jean and her children, and the rest of the families,Vinson's and Anderson's. Jean I will miss seeing you when I come home,but I know that you are an Angel now. My heart is saddened but I know you are proud for a job well done. Your life was your legacy and I just wanted to thank you.

Jean was a loving friend, motherly figure and sister (in-law) to me and a very strong, christian woman. The one thing that I always admired about her was that she always put others before herself! She was not a selfish woman and everything she did; she did it from her heart.
