Richard Koch Obituary
May 23, 1940 – November 13, 2025
Richard Arvid Koch, 85, of Grass Valley, passed away on the night of November 13th, following a prime rib dinner surrounded by family, love, and laughter. Rich was a mechanic who never got mad when things broke, because he knew how to fix them. He loved his family and the dogs, the orchard and the garden. He will live on in missing deviled eggs and empty coffee pots, in retold stories and slow driving, in hats that look handsome but hide perfect hair. He always knew how to finish puzzles. He knew the last one - and the only piece that mattered - would bring us all together: Love. Be it Pop, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, husband, brother, or friend, all of the medals he wore were fought hard for and well deserved. He will be laid to rest at Loney-Sanford Ranch Cemetery, with his beloved wife, Carol, and his son Rich.
