Syl was a childhood friend . We shared many runs and had fun together . His life took him through many adventures . I always admired his steadfast approach to getting the job done . His sincerity, honesty and approachability will be missed . He had a life well lived . Rest in peace my friend.

Syl an I would often exchange Good Mornings and pleasant as we passed each other on our bikes riding along Lower Colfax Road. A nice man I shall miss.

Syl had (has) such a wonderful spirit! We would see him almost daily a few years ago, riding his bike on the street where we lived. He always made time to chat and laugh with us. He and my wife had the journey of cancer in common and, whenever we wouldn't see him for a while, we would worry. He was what is good about humanity. We will miss you, Syl! See you soon!
