Barbara Brown Obituary

Barbara A. Brown (Jackson), age 89, of Willow Springs, IL passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at La Grange Memorial Hospital. She was born in 1932, in Chicago and is the daughter of the late Harold and Esther (Karrow) Jackson. She was married to Edwin Brown in1952, until his passing in 1994. After graduating from Fenger High School, she was employed with the FBI as a stenographer. She resigned from the FBI to start a family.
After raising her family, she returned to the workforce at IIT Research Institute as a secretary, at Arthur Andersen as a word processor, and at Christ Hospital as an administrative assistant to the director of nursing. She was fond of dogs and cats, especially Shetland Sheepdogs and Siamese cats.
The family had many camping trips over the years. She and Ed traveled to Hawaii twice and took several vacations with close friends on a cruise, and to Germany and England.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Harold (Alice) Jackson, Jr. and her six children, Nancy (Kenneth) Blinstrub, Elaine Brown, David (Carol) Brown, Kenneth (Chrissy) Brown, Gary (Marta) Brown, and Christine Brown (Jason Crane, fiance). Grandmother of Cara, Christine, Thomas, Nicole, Emma, Allison, and Hannah. Great grandmother of Leila, Nathan, James, and Madelyn. Aunt to Pamela, John, Kathleen, and Bradley. Loved by many other relatives and friends. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
