Anita M. Sousa

Anita M. Sousa, of Hope Valley, formerly of East Providence passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred L. Sousa and together they shared 48 years of marriage. Born in South Kingstown she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Raitano and the late Yvonne J. (Roy) Carpenter. She leaves her daughter Donna M. Sousa, and sons Edward J. Sousa and his wife Helena, and David J. Sousa and her grandchildren Edward J. Sousa, Jr. and Anita M. Sousa. She leaves her siblings Barbara Van der Linden, Dorothy Dill, Ronald Carpenter and wife Rose and Jaqueline Meditz and husband Johnny. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 3-6 pm at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, RI. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12th at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly, RI.
