Annmarie Blanda Obituary
Annmarie (Citriniti) Blanda, 65, beloved wife for 43 years of Andrew Blanda, passed away at her home in Pawcatuck, CT on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Born in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late Enrico and Laura Citriniti.
Annmarie had a 35 year career as a showroom sales manager for Shetucket Plumbing and Essex Winnelson. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church. Annmarie became an avid boxer as a member of the Whaling City Athletic Club in the Championship Rounds program. In addition to throwing a great combina-
tion, she knew how to throw a great party. Annmarie will be remembered for her kind smile in the face of adversity, and as a true friend.
In addition to her loving husband, she leaves behind her children, Nicholas Blanda and Lauren Vincent, her son in law John Vincent, and two grandchildren, Ophelia Blanda and Gia Vincent.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 14 th from 5pm-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10am on Friday, November 15th at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will be private. Annmarie battled Parkinson's Disease and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the Blanda Family requests contributions to either the American Parkinson Disease Association or the American Cancer Society in Annmaries memory. Andy and family, We thought the world of Annmarie at the gym. Annmarie had a soft smile and kind word for all. She was a bright light and motivating factor to the gang at WCAC. She had amazing determination and grit, and inner strength that was admirable. She was very inspirational to all, and a warm and genuine person. She will always be with us.

I am so sorry to hear that Annmarie has passed. I will remember her as the bright and happy light of our Rock Steady Boxing Club. She had a smile, a laugh and supportive word for everyone when she came to class. Her energy was a force but her ability to `team us up´ was incredible. No one was ever left on their own.
She will be missed.
