Barbara Miner Obituary
Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Melena Dunham.
Barbara was known as a country singer under the name Wendy Lee. She sang with Dottie West and Tommy Cash among others and played many casinos including the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.
She leaves behind her six children, Wayne Roderick of Bozrah, Conn., Bruce Miner of Westerly, Paul Miner of Mystic, Valerie Moore of Stonington, and Cheryl Miner King and Wendy Barker, both of Pawcatuck; as well as her sister, Leona Thorp of North Stonington. She will also be dearly missed by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a niece and many true and devoted friends. Barbara was predeceased by her son, Earl Roderick, and her son-in-law, Allen N. Barker.
Visiting hours are omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, Ashaway. For online condolences, please go to www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com

I am so saddened to hear of Barbara passing. We went to school together and I knew her and Frank,from roller skating. May you all find comfort though all the fond memories that you have. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Barbara. To me, she will forever be "The Hot Fudge Lady"..I worked at the Westerly Friendly's 9 years and she would come in from time to time. We all knew her order and she was always so kind and would always ask about our families and ourselves. Amazing woman always! xo Gloria Erdmann

sooooooooooooo many memories of barbara, when she sang, the love she had for her children, her humbelness,just talking & sharing with her. i am so sad but know she's free to roller skate again, even though she has earned her wings, though gods kingdom. rest in heavenly peace barbara you have earned it, my deepest sympathy to your children and i wish each of them the peace of the lord .....
