Barbara Risica Obituary
Barbara was born the only child of the late Henry and Mary Gannon. She was also predeceased by her half-brother Stanley Clarke.
She was a communicant of St. Michael Church and a longtime member of her girls' club. Her greatest achievement was raising her family, including some of her grandchildren.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her five children, Michael Risica (Marjorie) of Lakeland, FL, Angela Furcolo (Louis) of Ashaway, Steven Risica, and James Risica (fiancée Gail Wilcox) and Lisa Toscano (Thomas), all of Westerly. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Patrick, Jessica, Justin, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Thomas and Alexander; four great-grandchildren, Sophie, Ryer, Callan and Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
A visiting hour will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Friday from 9:30a.m. - 10:30a.m., immediately followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11a.m. in St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. Burial will take place at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Stand Up For Animals (SUFA) 33 Larry Hirsch Lane, Westerly, RI 02891, in Barbara's memory.
