Carolyn Cullinane Obituary
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Abosso. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband William O. Cullinane, their daughter, Sara-Margaret Cullinane and her sister Rosemarie Azzinaro. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Kimberly and husband Brian Pearson, Rachel and Elizabeth Cullinane; her brother Frank Abosso, and her grandson Jack Burns.
Carolyn was an avid runner in her younger years completing marathons, road races and daily joggings. When she was not running, she could be found working in the yard, cooking delicious meals, and hosting the holidays. She worked for many years at the Washington Trust Company, loving her job as a teller. Carolyn was a devoted mother who ultimately left her job to be by the side of her daughter Sara who suffered with Dementia.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 4pm - 7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at St. Clare Church, 62 Crandall Ave., Westerly. Burial will follow at River Bend Cemetery, Westerly. I worked with Carolyn at the Main Office of The Washington Trust. She was such a hoot! We had so much fun working in the drive thru together. I will remember and cherish our time together always!
