Charles Kernan Obituary
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Frank J. and his wife, Nancy, and Charles and his wife, Judi, from Warwick, one daughter, Carolyn Beverly and her husband, Carl, of Warner, N.H., his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was employed at BIF Industries for 40 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 2nd Infantry Division. He later served as a reservist for 30 years with the 76th Infantry Division, retiring in 1983.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Christ the King Church, Kingston, on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial will take place at the R.I. Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home and Hospice Care of R.I., 143 Main St., Wakefield, R.I. 02879.

Claire I'm sorry I just found out today that the funeral was yesterday. I was not smart enough to go to the Internet until today. He was one of the good guys and a great commander. Nancy and I will remember him in our prayers. Milt Read
