Claire Desouza Obituary
She is survived by her loving family; son, Robert David Gent Jr. (Debra) of Westerly, R.I., daughter, Pamela Joy Gent of Meriden, Conn., beloved grandsons, Robert David Gent III and Michael Gent of Westerly, R.I. as well as sisters, Blanche Dufresne of Bridport, Vt. and Cecile Booth of Pittsford, Vt. Also included are many loving nieces and nephews.
She was employed for many years as an executive administrative assistant at General Dynamics prior to retirement. She was an avid reader, square dancer, crafter, seamstress and bingo player in her younger years.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at Saint Pius X Church, 45 Elm Street, Westerly, R.I. followed by a graveside service at Saint Sebastian Cemetery, Cobblestone Lane, Westerly, R.I.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Claire's name to the Pam's Food Pantry at the Visiting Nurse Association of South Central CT, I Long Wharf Drive, Suite 501, New Haven, CT 06511.

So sorry for your loss. God's Word says the span of our life is 70 years, or 80 if one is especially strong. Claire was especially strong. Ps. 90:10

I knew Claire back in our younger years when our children were growing up together. We had our sewing sessions, coffee times and just good visiting times. My condolences to Pam, Bob and her extended family. May she rest in peace. Gerry Giardino, Scottsdale, Az.

To Pam, Bob and Family, I hadn't seen Clare in many years, but have so many great memories of the good times we shared on Nichols Lane. I will always remember her and the great times we had 'back in the day'. She was a very special woman.
