Dale Boss, Sr. Obituary
Born in Westerly, R.I., on Nov. 23, 1958, he was the beloved son of Alva (Boss) Gardiner and Robert Gardiner.
Dale was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and was proud of being an Eagle Scout.
Dale was also a member of the Bradford Citizens and Social Club.
Besides his mother, he will be sadly missed by his children, Jennifer J. Boss, of Westerly, R.I.; Elizabeth E. Boss, of Charlestown, R.I.; Brooke A. McNico, of Connecticut; and Dale A. Boss Jr., of South Kingstown, R.I. He was the brother of Joseph E. Boss, of Bradford; Janice L. Hughes, of California; and Christina M. Zurcher, of Bradford, R.I. He was the grandfather of Arianna J. Boss, of Westerly, R.I.; and Trinity A. McNicol and M.J. McNicol. He was the companion of Christine Richardson, of Westerly, R.I. He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph Boss.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, R.I. Funeral service and burial will be private.

Alva, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son.I know what you are going through. I lost my youngest daughter a year and a half ago. It is terrible to loose a child. My deepest condolences to Dale's family. I didn't know him really well, and hadn't seen him in several years, but I do remember him as being a "gentle giant", and a kind soul. May he rest in peace and may you all find peace.
