David R. Murdock

WESTERLY - David R. Murdock, beloved husband for 61 years of Barbara (Guldin) Murdock, of Westerly, passed away at L&M Hospital on Saturday, September 13, 2025. He was 84.

Born in Woodbury, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Maude Murdock.

Dave was a 1963 graduate of Philadelphia University, where he earned his bachelors degree. He worked as a Production Manager for C&A Wallcovering for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Westerly Yacht Club, the Calabrese Society, the Bocce Club and the North End Social Club. He was also a former member of Christ Church.

Dave enjoyed yard work, was an avid boater and a gifted artist. He was a hard-working man who was extremely talented and could fix anything that needed repair. Above all, he loved his family and they were most important to him.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he leaves behind two children, Carol Gilmore and husband Stiles, and Michael Murdock and wife Susan, all of Westerly; a sister, Linda Crawford and husband William, of Clearwater, FL; five grandchildren, Macayla, Macey, Abigail, Elena and Joseph; two great-grandchildren, Maya and Brody; one niece Elizibeth, of Denver, CO and many cousins.
