Dolores (Russell) Feraco

Dolores (Russell) Feraco, 84, of 161 Post Road, Westerly, died April 13, 2009, in the Clipper Home, Post Road, Westerly. She was the widow of the late Nicholas U. Feraco.
Born in New London, she was a daughter of the late Arland Roode Sr. and Charlotte (Nelder) Roode Smith
She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening, and she worked side-by-side with her late husband Nick for many years in the "Terminal Lunch Restaurant" which was located across the street from the train station.
Mrs. Feraco is survived by two daughters, Connie Raffo and her husband Al and Charlene Miller and her husband Michael; a brother, Arland Roode Jr. and his wife MaryLou of Norfolk, Va.; and a sister, Barbara Roode of Farmington, Conn.; five grandsons, Duane Joseph, Dr. Ed Feraco, Jarrett Raffo, Russell Calouro and Thomas Calouro; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, Angeline Dipollino, Josephine Feraco, Marguerite Feraco and Lucy Cristina; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Deneen McGuinness.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. There is no procession from the funeral home, to the church. Burial will be private.
