Donna Berton Obituary
Donna attended Wilbur Cross High School and continued her education at New England Real Estate School and Gateway Community College. Donna worked in Real Estate for many years. She was a wonderful cook and baker. She always said that working at the Pepperidge Farm Store brought her much joy. She was also a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan who loved the outdoors and visits to Maine. Donna spent much of her adult life a Hamden, Conn., resident but grew up in East Haven, Conn., and was currently residing in Mystic, Conn. Donna was a very strong and loving person and a pleasure to all who knew her. Her bright personality was infectious, as was her passion for music. Her strength helped her to win her battle with breast cancer and be a role model for her children.
Donna is survived by her long-term love, Jeff Hall, of Mystic, Conn.; and her three children, Kirra Berton (Jennifer Sullivan), of Hamden, Conn.; Taylor Berton (Malloree Forsythe), of Hamden, Conn.; and Shannon Berton, of Branford, Conn. She was previously married to Scott Berton, of Branford, Conn. Donna was a hockey and dance mom who was always there to cheer her kids on.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 2 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, located at 600 Shepard Ave. in Hamden, Conn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Foundation for Music Education.
