Evelyn Smith Obituary
Eve was born in Westerly, daughter of the late Irving E. Dawley Jr. and Anna Mae (Higbee) Dawley.
She worked as a teachers aide for the Chariho School District for many years, and Eve loved to ride horses, a passion she shared with her daughter.
Eve was devoted to her family and she will be deeply missed by her husband Paul; daughter Kimberlly Smith; son Michael Smith; sister Mary (Dawley) Buck and her husband Alan; cherished granddaughter Gabrielle; and niece Sarah Morrisey.
Visiting hours are omitted. Funeral service and burial will be private. A Celebration of Eve's Life will take place at The Haversham House, 336 Post Road, Westerly on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. My sympathy and prayers go out to the family. I worked with Eve at the Middle School for many years. She was a good friend who was always dedicated to helping students all of the time. She will be greatly missed.
