George Fiske Obituary
George was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a past Master of Ionic Lodge #28 F & AM, Greene, R.I. He was Mason of the Year, and received a 50-year service award. He was also a member of the Scottish and York Rites.
He was a devout Christian and he was a deacon at the former West Exeter Baptist Church, and he also served in numerous capacities at the church throughout his life.
He is survived by his three sons, Vincent M. Fiske and his wife, Madeline, William M. Fiske and his wife, Holly M., and James P. Fiske and his partner, Judith Torres. George was predeceased by his daughter, Kathy Fiske, as well as two siblings, Shirley Abby and Albert Fiske Jr. George also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Erik, Adam, Tiffany, James, Sherry, Yvonne, and Carlos.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at S.R. Avery Funeral Home, located at 3A Bank St., Hope Valley, RI 02832. A funeral home service will take place Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Wood River Cemetery, Richmond, R.I. For online condolences, please visit www.Averyfuneralhome.com.

To the Fiske brothers: Your dad and mom were very special friends to my parents. I appreciate everything George did for my dad when dad was sick. My kids loved George and Theresa; they were like an extra set of grandparents. My love to you and your families.

Sorry to hear about George's passing. I have not seen him in many years. I worked with him at the Forestry Department in Arcadia back in the early sixties. Really enjoyed working with and learning from him.
