Geraldine DeMarche

1937 - 2023

QUONOCHONTAUG - Geraldine (Rohan) DeMarche, 86, of Quonochontaug, RI, died peacefully on Thursday December 7, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. DeMarche.

Born in Manchester, CT on January 29, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Edna Elizabeth (Fritch) Rohan.
Geraldine DeMarche graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 and went onto work for several years before she became a full-time mother to her four children.

Geraldine DeMarche was a long-time resident of Longmeadow MA, Quonochontaug RI, and winter resident of Naples, FL.
She was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time working in her yard and her gardens.

Geraldine DeMarche was the loving and devoted mother and grandmother of son; John A. DeMarche, Jr. and his wife Anne Marie and their children, John A. DeMarche III (Jennifer), Kyle DeMarche and Anthony DeMarche of Charlestown, RI; son, Michael DeMarche and his wife Caren and their children, Mathew DeMarche and William DeMarche of Longmeadow MA; daughter, Kathleen Carando and husband Michael and their children, Jenna Carando (Tim Harsch) and Michael Carando Jr. of Longmeadow, MA. She was the great grandmother of Rowan Harsch and the sister of Nancy Yost and brother Tim Rohan. She was predeceased by her son Donald DeMarche.

A 10am Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 16, 2023, at St. Pius X. Church, 41 Elm St. Westerly, RI. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
