Hans Putman Obituary
Hans was born May 25, 1959, the loving son of Edward and Patricia A. (McLoughlin) Putman of Rockville, Conn.
Hans graduated from Rockville High School Class of 1977; while in high school he was heavily involved with athletics at the school especially wrestling, which was his passion. He attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs and was self-employed as a residential contractor.
In addition to his parents, Hans is survived by his living children, Rhiannon Cohen and her husband, Seth, Dane Putman, and Karissa Putman, all of Rhode Island; two brothers, Brendan Putman and his wife, Darline of Coventry and Daniel Putman and his wife, Susan of Coventry; two sisters, Leanna Putman of Enfield, Shannon Dzat and her husband, Raymond of Coventry; his granddaughter, Ariahna Cohen; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. Graveside services and burial are private.

Hey there to all of you
I can not tell you how saddened I was to here the news of Hans. There are so many memeories of all of you. At the cottage, at my home, at the beach. I can still see the kids playing together in the back yard at the picnics. I want to send all of you my LOVE and as always if you need anything let me know. I know all of your wonderful memories will get you through this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Hans was a great friend to me, while we were in High School together. His infectious personality, athletic drive and quick wit; will be remebered by me the most. May God Bless Hans and his family.

I am deeply sorrow for the passing of Hans. I remember meeting Hans and your wonderful family at the wrestling practices of the Indian Valley YMCA. Hans never had an unkind word to say about anyone.

Hans was a good neighbor and a wonderful soccer coach for the girls of Chariho. He was always there willing to help the girls, giving his best and encouraging them on. He always seemed happy and was frindly to all. On occassion he would come by and jump in our swimming pool or plow our snowy driveway as a surprise. May he rest in peace.

Hans was a very pleasant man that I had the pleasure of knowing. He's been a customer of mine for years and I'm very upset to hear of his passing. He always came into Friendly's and had lunch at the front counter and was always very nice. My love and sympathy goes to his family and friends.
