Lorraine Russo Obituary
She leaves four children, Jordan Russo Jr. of Florida, Edward Russo of Portugal, Terry Castagna of Westerly, and Laura McDonald of Florida; nine grandchildren, Trevor and his wife Brinn, Colby, Alexandra, Kevin, Anna, Ashley, Jordan, Kai and Callie; and one great grandson Caden. She also leaves six brothers and sisters.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to R.I. in 1956, where she helped manage the family business, Chickadee Farms in Woodville, R.I. for over thirty years. A devoted Catholic, she volunteered for the Legion of Mary, serving as Secretary for two years, and she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family invites all to visitation at Gaffney Dolan Funeral home, 59 Spruce Street, Westerly, R.I., on Friday, February 23rd from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday, February 24th at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly.

Russo family so sorry to hear of Lorraine passing we have many fond memories of her with her grand kids (Kevin and Ashely) she was joy to be around and for me we could chat of old times when Jordan and Al were in military with my Dad

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom-she was the best! I feel so fortunate to have known your entire family. You were brought up with good old fashioned family values, an excellent work ethic, and love and respect for one another. I spent a great deal of my teenage years in your beautiful home and one memory I have in particular, was the freezer full of ice cream in the basement, well stocked with every flavor you could ever ask for! There were always delicious meals to be enjoyed as well. Your mom will be missed dearly. Both of your parents were awesome. Thank you for the memories. Most Sincerely, Gary

Our condolences to the Russo, Porzio and Savarese families in the loss of their beloved Lorraine. I was saddened by the news of her passing and hope that the families will celebrate her life and the memories they share of time with her. She was a very special lady who I have no doubt left an indelible mark on so many that she knew. Although I saw her infrequently over the years and only through Porzio family gatherings, I always looked forward to seeing her and spending time because of her warmth and genuine caring for others. My condolences to Lorraine's children and their families. I was deeply saddened to learn of Lorraine's passing. It was my privilege to know her when over several years, she kindly visited my mother who was a patient in a nursing home. We loved and respected Lorraine greatly. She was a true lady and a real Christian. Her visits and wonderful sense of humor brought my mother so much joy. My heartfelt sympathy to all her family.
