Louis Algieri Obituary

WESTERLY - Louis M. Algieri, Jr. 82, of Westerly, RI passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2025, at Westerly Hospital. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth Beth (Wallace) Algieri. Born in Westerly, on October 11, 1942, he was the son of the late Louis M. Algieri Sr. and Anunziata (Gaccione) Algieri.

Lou worked as a rigger at Pfizer for over 30 years before retiring in 2003. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting and lobstering. Lou was an avid golfer and runner who once ran in a Marine Corp Marathon in Washington D.C. Lou was a skilled craftsman that could fix or build anything, often working on various projects in his basement. He was kind, fun loving, and very generous with his friends and family.

Besides his wife Beth, he leaves his children Terri Spetrino(Louis), Louis Algieri III (Sarah), Stacy Brayman (David), Tammy Porter (Bob), Beth Ann Miller (Bill) Karen St. Peter, (Erik):13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, his sister Angeline Burdick and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Louis Algieri Sr, his mother Anunziata Algieri, his son Tom Felicetti and sister Judith Lyon.

A celebration of Lou's life will be held at a later date. Services will be private and calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Sorry to hear about Lou passing. My condolences to your family. Louis was a long-term patient of mine. He was always pleasant and cheerful, and it was always a pleasure to see him. We always talked about Family when he was in the office and you were all clearly a source of great joy in his life. I will miss our talks and smiling face.

Lou was one of my best friends in life when he worked for me i knew I could always trust him to give me 100+ percent when I wasn´t able to work he ran the shop we also had some great times a lot of fun on the slow days from rebuilding automatic transmissions which he learned quite well one of the best , i can honestly say he was one of the nicest guys i had the good fortune of being to call him my friend, i alwas thought of you often i will miss you my friend my condolences to beth and angie and family
