Mary Ann McElhaney

WESTERLY, RI- Mary Ann McElhaney age 88, passed away on 11/21/25. She was the loving wife of the late Richard McElhaney. Born in Barnstable, MA on 7/30/1937, she was the daughter of the late Claudio and Mary (Souza) Alexandre.

Mary Ann worked at McDonalds in Westerly for 24 years becoming a shift manager for several years. She enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with friends both locally and on Cape Cod. She also enjoyed helping others in the community by providing any needed care, support, and transportation.

She leaves her daughters: MaryLynn Caswell (David) of Hope Valley, RI and MarySue Agostini (Ron) of South Kingstown, RI, and grandchildren: Ashley Savicky, Codi Caswell (Katie), Sam Agostini, Ben Agostini and 4 great grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Frances Alexandre, and 2 nieces of TX.

She was pre-deceased by her brother, Raymond Alexandre.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 2:00pm ~ 4:00pm at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St, Westerly, RI 02891.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1 st at 9:00am at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 1st at 1:00pm, at Mosswood Cemetery, 280 Putnam Ave, Cotuit, MA. All are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
