Father Michael was a good man and a fine priest. We so appreciated his care and kindness to our mother, Mary. Thinking of you all with sympathy.

Michael was my cousin. I always liked his sense of humor. He would always tease me but I knew when he wasn't serious because of his smile he tried to hide. He was a special man and a very gracious priest. He officiated at both my Mom & Dads funeral services. He had a wonderful way of speaking which I believe everyone took notice of. I'll never forget growing up with the family picnics & gatherings. He was fun to be around.. May he rest in peace.

For an unassuming man, Michael's charm & wit, dead pan delivery complete with innocent face, were relished by those of us who enjoyed the absolute pleasure of his presence. Thank you for the memories, Michael! My hope is if there is a train in heaven you get to be the engineer & drive that train.

Father Leckie was a leader - whether as Priest, firefighter or railroading. He had a steady hand on his parish for 28 years. While we will miss him, he will remain in our hearts and minds.

My condolences on the loss of Mike - he and I were presenters in the Operation Lifesaver program and were both members of the Friends of the Kingston Station. I also rode with him on the Old Colony and Newport Railroad and we had some very good discussions when we were together. He will truly be missed in the railroad community - May he Rest in Peace.
