Paul DiGangi Obituary

Paul F. DiGangi of Stillman Avenue, Pawcatuck, and beloved husband for 62 years of Louise (Martella) DiGangi, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at The Westerly Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Frank and Josephine DiGangi. Paul had been employed as an inspector at George C. Moore Co. in Westerly for more than 45 years.
A communicant of St. Michael Church in Pawcatuck, he also loved sports, especially the Red Sox.
An army veteran of WWII, Mr. DiGangi was awarded several commendations including The Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, The European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, The American Defense Service Medal, The Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, as well as The American Theater Campaign Ribbon.
In addition to his loving wife he leaves one son and his wife, Paul D. DiGangi and his wife Maret and one granddaughter, Leanne Theodore and her husband Kristian, all of Pawcatuck.
He was also predeceased by two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, Monday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck.
There will be no visiting hours.
Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers family requests that contributions be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George St., Pawtucket 02860-9924 in Paul's memory.
