Val J. Comeau, 94, of Cedar Crest Drive, Westerly, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on June 23, 2021. He was the husband of the late Florence Comeau.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Frank and Ida Comeau.
He was a Union Carpenter for over 30 years and was a life member of the Westerly Yacht Club and a communicant of St. Pius X Church.
Val is survived by his children, Daniel Pucci of Orlando, FL, Karen Giorno of Westerly, and Paul Comeau of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by five siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday at St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., Westerly. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, Westerly is in care of the arrangements. For online condolences go to
