Joshua Tallmadge Obituary

Joshua Stanley Tallmadge, 50

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Joshua Stanley Tallmadge born on April 29th 1975 in Libby, MT. Josh went home to be with his daughter Destiny and his Lord and Savior on July 27th 2025.

Josh was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a steadfast friend to many. Josh lived every moment with passion, fearlessness and was never afraid to take the road less traveled. Whether he was scheming up his next big adventure, carefree cliff diving into the Yaak Falls or creek fishing his secret spots down on Lake Creek; Josh never backed away from any challenge. He believed life was meant to be lived boldly and he did just that.

Those who knew Josh remember his charismatic spirit, his spitfire personality, and his ability to bring a smile to anyone who walked into the room. He was the guy who would lend a hand before you had to ask, and who somehow made even the wildest adventures feel like home. He loved elk hunting with his sons in the Cabinet Mountains and spur of the moment getaways with his wife Nicole. His love for live music and rambunctious concerts will play on in our hearts forever. If there's one thing for certain, there was never a dull moment with Josh. His thrill-seeking spirit was matched only by the depth of his heart.

Josh is survived by his beloved wife Nicole, his son Gage and daughter-in-law Erin and his grand daughter Shiloh, his second son Jadon and daughter-in-law Keeli, his "bonus kid" Kingston, his parents Stan and Chris Tallmadge, his brother Pete Tallmadge and his extended circle of family and friends who will forever miss him and cherish the beautifully wild memories he left with us.

Though our hearts ache with this sudden departure, we find peace knowing that Josh is dancing with his daughter Destiny in heaven and perhaps planning his next big adventure. Josh no longer is in pain and can finally rest in the arms of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 " Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

A celebration of Josh's life will be held at the Community Baptist Church located in Troy, MT on August 16th at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane, WA where his daughter spent a large portion of her time. Their address is 1028 W 5th Ave, Spokane WA 99204.

His legacy of love, boldness, and fearlessness will live on in each of us. Until we meet again, we will always be missing you Josh.
